I've told many people about how we cook our Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys (co-workers, friends, classmates, and dental hygenist, to name a few). Rarely do people believe me. "What? You cook your turkey in the microwave?" they shout as they stamp their feet in disbelief. And the answer is, of course, yes. It tastes great, well cooked all the way through, and still juicy and tender. As many of our Christmas party guests can attest to, year after year. So to finally prove to the skeptics that it's possible, I took pictures this last Christmas of the Microwaved Turkey. Don't let the scale of the pictures throw you off. That's a huge 13 pound turkey, requiring a little over two hours in the microwave in our 19-year old Panasonic. And, you need to flip the turkey over halfway through. One caveat to note: when purchasing your turkey, don't forget to ensure your turkey will fit into the microwave. And don't forget that the turkey still needs to spin, of course. The pictures are available here.
