Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game. A classic.

Some time in 1997 Jenn T? told me to read the book. For some odd reason I vividly and distinctly remember being told this while on a Toronto Transit Commission subway car waiting at the North York Center station. Chances are, this all-too-realistic memory may be a figment of my imagination. Perhaps we should ask Jenn T? if she remembers.

Of course, it wasn't until about seven years later that I got around to reading the book. Ben L? suggested it while we were waiting for a certain Karl Knechtel at Eaton's Centre, and in a fit of boredom I went off to Indigo to buy it. And then read it. And enjoyed it, greatly.
